While it's probably true that WB could release the extended editions alongside this release, it is WB's prerogative to do what they want. The purpose of their company is to make money, and no matter how many 1-star reviews this set gets on Amazon, it will be the top seller upon its release. Anybody remember what a big deal people were making about the Gladiator Blu Ray release? All that controversy about the quality of the transfer made no difference in its numbers. <br /> <br />The bottom line is that this is a very popular movie (which is one of my personal favorites) and it will prove that when it comes out on Blu Ray in April. Imagine if a movie you wanted so badly was finely coming out, but it was only going to be released in BETAMAX, or in combination of BETAMAX and VHS. In this day of the "Digital Revolution" people would be completely baffled to understand why. This is why some people will write a negative review. It is the end result decision; putting a product on the market that does not follow the most basic rules of supply and demand, and in doing so locks out the ability for the wide majority of people to enjoy the product now and for years to come, as well as set the product up to fail and cost retailers, and production companies a lot of money for no reason other than ignorance. If there’s one thing I’m sick of, it’s fathers being portrayed in the media as bumbling idiots…or insensitive control freaks and all the children in Disney movies it seems disrespect their parents.

I cannot think of a single Disney movie with a positive role model for a dad and with children who respect him, with the exception of Ol’ Yeller, and in that case, the father is gone for 90% of the film.

Goofy is yet another addition to the “Stupid Fathers” club, and I’m disappointed to say the least, but not surprised. I only gave this one star because I can’t give it zero.
